the blueprint: the making of a jay-z album cover
a while back, i blogged about shepard fairey’s creative process with a video of said process. another similar video caught my eye today.
last week, jay-z released his latest album, the blueprint 3. beyond the fact that it’s a great album, i was initially struck by the album art, featuring an assembly of white musical instruments and assorted audio equipment. here it is:
my assumption was that the 3 red lines were photoshopped in later…but this is not the case. in this ‘making of’ video, you see the actual physical creative process and it’s pretty cool to see how they executed this great album cover.
