Yesterday we lost one of the great American songwriters and artists, Brian Wilson. The Beach Boys are an underrated group. I think a lot of people get lost in the surf, the beach, the girls, the t-birds, and the Kokomo of it all and don’t realize that they — and very specifically Brian Wilson — were music innovators who inspired the likes of the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, and the Doors.
